Highchair

Awww their adorable!
Ahh there are so many highchairs out there!! It's like the whole stroller shopping all over again. There were so many to choose from I took months deciding on one! At least I still have time. About a month and a few days.. OMG I can't believe it's almost Katelyn's 5 month anniversary coming up! I swear it feels like just yesterday when I was holding up the camera to capture Katelyn's four months. Sigh. Time really does fly by. My cold is getting better so today I hugged Katelyn all day and kissed her endlessly. Oh my gosh it is the best feeling in the world! No, scratch that. The best feeling in the world is when Katelyn is napping next to me and I am awaken when she touches my face with her tiny little sweet hands. When she grabs my finger when I don't expect it and lately when I hold her she kind of hugs me back. Her arms are too small to go around even half way so it's not a full hug but its definetly a squeeze!
So, what am I looking for in a highchair?
  1. Safety
  2. Comfort
  3. Easy to Clean
  4. Takes up small space when folded

That's really it. But there are sooooo many to choose from! Arrrrgh.. which one.. which one??

Tim Horton's

I've caught a cold! This really sucks because I try to minimize my time with Katelyn. If I do have to be near her I put on a scarf around my face to cover my mouth, wash my hands thoroughly and if I happened to cough on my sleeve then I change shirts just because I'll be holding Katelyn around and I know she likes to nibble on anything that comes in contact with her mouth. I put her in her chair and talk to her from far far away. She looked so bored and wanted to play so Katelyn and I waited eagerly for hubby to come home and when he did he had chicken noodle soup with him. Awww =) Little acts like this makes me love him even more.

Yummmmm =) That was goood soup!

Happy New Year Everybody! It's 2010!!

I want one of those 2010 glasses! hehehe. Where do you get those anyways? Somewhere downtown? Hmm. I can't believe it's already 2010! The year of the tiger, but not just any tiger, it's the year of the WHITE tiger which comes along every _ _ years. (I don't know the exact number.) I think about 2009 and how much has happened. The most monumental occasion is the birth of Katelyn, and I cherish every day I spend with her. Every movement, every blink, every smile, every laughter is so amazing I wish I could imprint it into my brain and remember every detail for the rest of my life. Unfortunetly my brain's memory doesn't seem to operate very well so thank goodness for cameras! I try to take pictures and record videos as much as I can, but I would really rather enjoy the moment. In the new year my number one new years resolution is...

  1. To be an educated mom for Katelyn. I'm reading up on books and watching tv shows to educate myself as much as I can about parenthood. There is so much knowledge out there and so many different parenting styles. I want to soak up as much information I can and make the right decisions with hubby that suits our values and parenting.

  2. To cook as many meals at home. Before I got married my mother did all the cooking so I never cooked at home. I've always looked at pictures of food and thought "I want to cook this for oppa." However when I read up on recipes I had no idea what they were talking about. Measurements and instructions were all so new to me. Saute? Broil? What is that? I was so confused and honestly, I still am. I was looking at a recipe and it called for 'heavy cream' but the grocery store didn't have anything called heavy cream, I just recently found out it's another name for 'whipping cream'. Why have two names for one item? Stop confusing me! So I'm going to study more recipes and learn to cook variety of different cultural foods. Hopefully it will turn out great, if not that's okay too. I'll just think of it as a science experiement. hahaha which is true. Maybe I will even post up some pictures to show you my bad ass cooking skillz~ hehehe

oppa- this is what a female call an older male in Korean.

  3. Read a chapter of the bible daily. I began doing some bible study on my own a few months back when I was pregnant. It felt good to be reading it while being pregnant, it felt like I was reading it to her and she could understand. I don't know. Hard to explain. I want to work on my relationship with God, and I'll read to Katelyn while doing so.

  4. Read the newspaper daily. It's winter, it's cold and Katelyn is now only 4 months old. Apparently us asian bodies are wired differently. It is unheard of in Korea to take a shower right after giving birth, or drinking ice water, or taking out a few day old baby to a shopping mall like most folks do. Why? Our bones are weaker? I'm not sure I didnt really study up on it but it this is agreed upon Korean doctors who are medically educated and there are special ways of taking care of our bodies after birth. In Korea women pay $2000 weekly (this is an average cost, some clinics cost a lot more!) to be taken care of. So no, it is unheard of Katelyn and I to be roaming outside on a walk in the stroller. So we spend our days at home so I have no idea what is happening in the outside world. I heard about the Haiti earthquake through my husband! If he hadn't told me I would still be unaware of it. Sigh. It is devastating what has happened there. Please donate where ever and what ever you can.

  5. Read a book. I know, I seem to want to do a lot of reading. I want to read a book just for fun, for no objective or for any research I just want to read to leap into the adventures of the author's creative imagination. I used to read a lot when I was younger, I would turn on my desk lamp and couldn't put down books and would read until the wee early mornings and go to school. Sigh. I want that back. I want to read something and be unable to put it down unless Katelyn needs me ofcourse. One book a month is my goal. What? Give me a break I've got enough reading to do! A book a month is ridiculously long but blah, whatever.

  6. Build muscle, loose the fat. My gym membership gets activated again in April and by then Katelyn will have started feeding beginners food. So I'll be able to leave her in the care of my family while I work out for an hour. OMG. I promised myself I would not shop anymore because I would loose weight and the clothes I buy now wont fit in a few months so if I don't shop now I'll treat myself real grand later when I'm satisfied with my body weight, but ugh! I have to continuously eat to get my milk flowing and have gained 8lbs! Nothing fits! It's upseting but that's okay because all of this 8lbs I gained on top of the pregnancy weight is for my baby and as long as she has food to keep her healthy I can gain 8lbs because once she begins to wean I will hit the gym and work out like Heidi Klum! Until then I must confess I have guilty shopped a bit, only because nothing fits. Yes. My closet is full of clothes but I can honestly say I have nothing to wear.

  7. Back to school? I'm thinking about it. It's undecided right now. so shhhhhhhhhh...

  8. Love my family and friends.

  9. Get my G! G is the final step in getting your driving license in Canada. Yes I'm Canadian! Mine expires this August, so I need to get an instructor to teach me how to drive all over again because I havent driven since a few years back and the highway freaks me out. So hopefully I will remember how to drive and will be comfortable enough to drive on the highway and ace my G test!

  10. Keep on blogging! I tried to keep this blog alive and have deleted some posts along the way but I wont be deleting them anymore and will try to keep family and friends updated on how we are all doing!

So this is my 10 new year resolution. Whatever your resolutions are keep yourself reminded of them and work hard on getting it done! Everyday will bring you closer to achieving your goals!

OMG. I would LOVE to celebrate the New Year on the beach like these people in Rio!
